Sim Card For Apple Ipad Mini

A friend recently told me I can get a SIM card for my iPad mini so I can get mobile wifi, as I do not have a SIM card slot in my iPad mini, I cannot figure how this will work. Please can someone help TIA.

You can’t put a sim in an iPad which isn’t designed to take one. Your friend must have assumed you had the type which can/ does.

You can't, some models of iPad (and minis) have a slot, some (most) don't. If you have a smart phone with a data plan you can normally share that data connection by setting it up as a personal hotspot and connecting the ipad to that via WiFi. This only works on the main networks and not if you're on a re-seller such as Giff-Gaff
