Repetitive syndrome?
38 Answers
I work in an open plan office. I'm rather perturbed by a
manager that works for the company who seems to repeat and repeat and finish off my sentences whenever I speak to him. Its getting more and more annoying and I have nitced he can't help but do this all the time with whoever he speaks to.
I'm not sure if I should tackle this issue with him, due to doing it to everyone, surely he must have had someone tell him how bloody annoying it can get. I have recently started talking to him and suddenly changed the subject midway through conversation just to catch him out, he goes quiet then catches on and continues to finish or repeat what I'm saying. Anyone else experienced this and tackled this delicate matter?

I had a really fine lady who reported to me (I was her manager) who did this very same thing. She, however, would try to say what I was saying while I said it. Anyway, I tried to talk to her about it during a performance appraisal and she had no idea what I was referencing. I finally just decided to enjoy the things about her that I liked and knew that when I talked to her, I needed to be ready for her "habit." We all have something annoying about us, I guess. She put up with whatever I did that may have bugged her.
