why is it that all the microwave ovens that i see the doors open to the left and not the right. is it a costing problem for the manufacturer.

Thank you For the answers and comments,especially the info about the L G Microwave. But I feel as though my question was not answered because the way that I asked it, So here goes. Why do manufacturers not make a Microwave Oven with a door that opens Left To Right, and also one with a door that opens Right to Left with controls either on the Left or the Right. Thank You all. Answer - because Manufaturers are tight fisted. The majority of the World's population is right-handed. Its a discrimination of sorts, but if they made right and left models, the price would be higher because of extra costs, etc., and you might find then that "left-handed" machines would be more expensive, and so on. You are right, tho' it can be done - our fridge came with a small kit so I could choose which way the door opened, and the lights, switches etc were along the top...
