Climbing ladders is getting dodgy, so I want to clean some windows without recourse to a ladder - they're only 8 feet or so up, and I think I could do it with one of those long-handled squeegee affairs.
Obviously, it has to be strong, not flimsy, as you'd be putting a fair amount of pressure on the rod - any suggestions? Googling throws up some very cheap looking ones, so what should I pay for something more robust?
I`ve just fished mine out of the garden shed (covered in cobwebs and dead spiders as it hasn't been used for years) I can't remember where I bought it - it might have been Great Mills as was. The pole is about the thickness of a rigid metal garden rake so a good size. It is quite sturdy and is telescopic - it's not flimsy at all. Just check out the diameter of the handle before buying to make sure. I noticed the local window cleaner using one (from the ground). Maybe they don't like climbing ladders anymore due to health and safety so you are paying them to do something you can do yourself.
