I wish that I was more articulate so I could put my point over better so that it did not look like a moan,so here goes
On my weekly visit to an Edinburgh “care home “ I found after there meal 6 of the residents were put in a television room with the volume loud all were dementia sufferers and could not remember what they had for lunch so with Jeremy Kyle blaring and some staring into space it was not a nice place to be and 3 of the staff chatting with each other in the corridor, this is the second care home I have experienced and the other was the same,so what I would like to say unless it is really necessary keep your loved ones away from the so called care homes

One important difference from many care homes is that it is not a money-making enterprise....any "profit" made is ploughed back into the charitable trust.
