Day Out Tomorrow.

Six of us are out for the day. We are going to the Elan Valley not far from Rhayader. We'll have lunch out and have a bit of a wander around the dams.
Anyone been there?

Yes, we went in late October, it was deserted and very beautiful.

It’s very near to Gigrin Farm, a Red Kite feeding station. There are no superlatives that can describe seeing about 500 Red Kites in front of you.

although I see that one person has moaned about paying £2 for a full day's parking. (That wouldn't even buy you an hour's car parking in some places around here!)
