I've come to the decision that I can't cope with maintaining my house anymore. I seem to be working longer hours at the moment and not sure how long this will go on for but it's tiring and I'll be working an extra 3 hours per day from Weds to Fri this week.
Anyway, I've given in and booked a cleaner for a one-off clean on Tuesday. I'm having a birthday party for Little Tigs so want my house looking as decent as possible.
I've booked a day off so I can be there to observe but should I be doing this? I've got a thing about the way cleaning is done but will try not to interfere. All being well I may book a clean once a month.
Does anyone else have a cleaner and how often do they clean?
Which reminds me, I also need to book an outside window cleaner as well!
I may have to, although I am at home most days I can't be bothered. This means on days when I have a bit of energy I have to do it all n one hit. Redman doesn't make much mess.
It's something I've been considering recently. Though I work part time, it leaves me shattered with very little energy for household tasks. I don't mind shopping as it gets me out, but household stuff is too much like my job.
One thing I've wondered...do cleaners use their own vacuum cleaner? Mine, while ok, is a rechargeable and can be frustrating to use.
I used to have a cleaner once a week, the first time she turned up I stayed but felt really awkward. After that I left her to get on with it.
Gosh I miss her so much she loved my cats and looked after them as well when I went away.
Not as a rule as they would have to transport it from place to place. You might like to consider investing in a new one; they're cheap enough these days. My cleaner uses my vacuum and she has had more use out of it in the past two years than I have had in the past 12!
I'm now going to start the long process of bagging and boxing stuff to take into the loft. Got so much stuff I need to de-clutter before the cleaner comes round! :o/
