Just watching this and one of the brides was trying on dresses (of course lol) and was concerned the dress didn’t make her look slimmer.

She’s fat on a show about fat brides trying on wedding dresses. Of course you look fat. If she wanted to look slimmer surely the way to go would be to lose weight?

Ouch. Yes, but there are cuts to dresses that make certain shapes look less shapely, maybe that's what she meant.
Cassa, can't help but laugh at your frankness!!
Instead of 'Say Yes To The Dress', perhaps she should have been on 'Say No To The Pie'?

My frankness doesn’t always go down too well lol

She actually said she wanted a dress to make her look slimmer. I am all for wearing clothes that flatter your shape, whatever that may be but no one is going to be fooled into thinking you’re a size 12 ( or even 18 or 20 or in some cases 28 or more) when you are clearly much much larger.
To be more serious (and less rude as my previous comment might have been!), she's marrying someone who loves her - size is just a number, she should embrace who she is and just look forward to getting married!
I'm waiting for this thread to explode into a furore :-) - however every woman of every size knows that some clothes make you look bigger - or slimmer- than you really are. I expect that's what she meant (I love that programme)
Yep, size, age, looks, everything is just irrelevant, as long as they're happy :)
It is possible she meant a dress that was flattering to her shape, how dare a fat woman be on our televisions .?
When I was looking at wedding dresses there were some designs, heavy on the boning, that made me look about two sizes slimmer, however I thought breathing was more important . Thing is I suspect every woman wants to look like a princess even if in their heart that's never going to happen. I think most women try to lose weight before the big day but if you are a supercurvy i.e. fat bride you really want the magic dress. It can be heartbreaking when you realise you will never be happy with how you look in your photos.
Oh no, not more bleating about body image. It's what's inside which counts. The burgeoning slimming industry is as evil as the junk food one.
Find it difficult to believe anyone would even have a trial watch of a programme with such a title.
