Couldn't find appropriate category so next best thing...? Husband and wife, she getting Attendance Allowance and he is named as carer though you don't have to name anyone, you don't even have to have someone caring for you. Can he now claim for AA because of his worsening disability and name wife and daughter as caring for both?
Just not clear on this and don't wish to make it problematic for original claimant who has got AA indefinitely. Have tried to clarify on website (.GOV) but nothing specific. Just wondered if anyone had experience of this. TIA. For any help.
You can both claim as far as I am aware, as it is based on your individual need for support. It can be used to pay for services you need and isn't for the benefit of family carers. However if your daughter cares for both of you she may be eligible for carers allowance. Best people I find to help are Age uk who have really good advisers.
