Frozen sandwich filling ideas please
3 Answers
I am going on a jolly with my Dad for three nights, am feeling guilty as I usually make my husband's sandwiches for work - he works really hard and gets home late so can't expect him to make them himself. Can anyone suggest some good fillings for sandwiches which I can freeze ahead? Saw something which said just stick to cheese, cooked meats and pate. Sounds a bit boring ... can I add chutney? TA!

You can buy a variety of fresh sandwich filling packs like, tuna mayo etc from supermarkets such as tescos which last up to a week in the fridge. Sandwich filling made at home can last roughly 3 days or more in the fridge.
Anyway, if you need something to freeze, try coronation chicken, but he'd have to put the filllings into the bread and if he cant do that, then buy a selection of sandwiches and leave them in the fridge

Surely he`s capable of making his own. My husband works hard & doesn`t come home till late, but he`s more than capable of making a few sarnies if he had to. Infact, when I was in hospital for 11 days, he left the house at 5 to go to work, came from work at 7:30pm to visit me, got home at nearly 9. Made some food & did the washing. You`re only talking of 3 nights.
