Strange Atmosphere Tonight

Does anyone else have a really strange atmosphere weatherwise? It's really still and a bit eerie - almost as if the weather is waiting for something. The calm before the storm maybe?

This morning at 4am all three of us woke up, the dogs were in a real state and it felt to me as though the storm was about to break......then nothing.....no rain, no lightning, nothing. After about a hour the weather changed and it was much cooler and fresher
I came back from work yesterday so was knackered but I have a vague recollection of hearing thunder during the night. I think it might have been about 4am. I think we might be in line for some more, judging by the sky. We are getting summer weather and it's only May (hopefully a good sign for a hot summer)
We have rain and a cooler breeze heading our way with thunder storms to accompany in some parts. The electric storm is just crossing the Channel between Calais and Dunkirk and heading for the South East of England. The link takes you to an excellent site to monitor such events in real time.

This site is also pretty accurate when it gets close to home 237. I use them because I like to do a bit of course fishing. The last thing I want is a thunderstorm whilst holding a 12ft carbon fibre fishing rod next to a lake.

The weather has changed here in SE Ireland, from a really sunny day to just dank, I usually get a wicked headache before thunder, then fall into a sleep, later to be told what a wicked storm we've had, yet all forecasts are for severe hot weather warning, I have the lights on over an hour now and it's just not a normal day, 'tis strange
