Under Priced Or Not?

Had someone (young guy) out to quote for mowing very overgrown small back lawn..... Weeding 23ft border back garden. Front garden ..small ... 12ft x10ft ish. Clip small hedge, weed and cut plants back.

Nice enough guy seemed genuine.... He has quoted £20. Must admit I thought he has well under priced the job. Now I wonder if he did it....would it not be done properly. It's just a thought I have put out there for other people's opinions. Thanks in advance for your comments.

Wow !! my husband and I do gardening for someone with a huge front and back garden.... not mowing the grass though.! they have a lot of flower boarders ...wide.. with bushes and plants.... back and front.We get paid £10 an hour for the 2 of us.? We do two hours a week ..which is enough as we are 67 and 69.. Some times it is really hard going when bushes need cutting back plus weeding and tiding up the rest of the garden. Think we are under paid??

We pay our gardener £12.50 an hour. He’s fast, efficient, knows his job and a nice bloke to boot. You get what you pay for.....sometimes. Our last chap was forever on his mobile phone. So he had to go.
