I was wondering if anyone knows the history and/or orogins of the numbers believed to be significant? 13 is tied in with the Last Supper, but what about 5, 7, 8, 666? Thanx a lot guys and girls :)))

Note that 133.335 is the Dewey Decimal classification for 'numerology'. If you reverse it, and add: 133.335 + 533.331, you'll discover the Number of the Beast, repeated
i dunno about 5, 7, 8, but if you add the first 36 numbers, 1+2+3+4+5+6+7+8+9+10+ 11+12+13+14+15+16+17+18+19+20 +21+22+23+24+25+26+27+28+29+30 +31+32+33+34+35+36=666

Hmm..just thought bout 7 - and the only thing that came to mind was the '7 Deadly Sins'...which confused me a bit more, because commonly, 7 is perceived as a lucky number...

In asia, the number 8 is considered the luckiest number,but i don't know why.

666 is in the Book of Revelation chapter 14. Beware of 666 for it is the number of the beast.

Good one this from my dictionary of curious and interesting numbers. Forty six; In Psalm 46 of the bible the 46th word is 'Shake'. The 46th word from the end of Psalm 46 is 'spear' - Shakespear! ....and the significance - well its was Shakespear's 46th birthday when the King James version of the bible was translated.
