anybody else bored?

I'm really bored i think this is the longest time i've spent sitting here reading through posts on AB. Half of them, i have noticed contain swearing or content of a sexual nature so why doesn't answer bank ban them?There was also a post i think in money and finance when everybody was being VERY bitchy. Quite personal too. People don't know anybody on this site, so why can't they just answer the question? WOW haha my first rant. Well, i did say i was bored!!XxX

im bored too and i agree with you about the personal thing i also find that some ask questions to get reassurance that doing something illegal or immoral is ok and if you say no its not you get a mouthful ,however each to their own i like a peaceful life so i mostly just read the posts have a good day

things generally get banned only if other users draw the Editor's attention to them by reporting. Feel free to do it yourself if you want.

im also bored, just started a new job on Tuesday, the person i should be working with is on holiday until monday and my boss called in sick yesterday, so all on my lonesome..

good thing is the office is fully air conditioned, so its nice and cool!

With regard to your question, particularly in News, people stimulate debate and argument which is completely appropriate. If there were to be no dialogue between the posters to argue or clarify then it would be pointless having the topic at all.
I don't care how much you chat away about Paris or even rant, but please at least have the courtesy to practice what you preach or better still not critisise others who were holding a serious debate. Some of us want to discuss more weighty matters without having to worry that there is yet another hypocritical, self appointed AB policewoman on the prowl ready to disrupt because it's not something she personally likes.The simple answer is if you don't like those threads don't respond or read them. Simple, no?

actually the xmrs_harmanx account is used by three different users. So the post which is above was written by one of them and indeed the post which you have quoted was written by myself. But the above post is simply that. A post which suggests an element of conversation between different users. And as for the paris thing well all my daughter implied was that it was raining and she was going to paris so it would be hotter. Simple no? That wasn't a question it was replying to one of the below answers. Its not like she was ranting about it. So i suggest you go and have a look at one of the many, many other rants on this website and quote some of the things they have said.

you've missed the point that you appear to think it's fine for you to treat AB as a chat room but apparently object to other people discussing things. How the hell is anyone to know that more than one person uses the same account, no wonder it comes off as a bit bi-polar, and yes I'm Irish, born in sunny west Belfast. Is that relevant at all or are you just trying to have a chat with me?

this site is predominantly used by adults and aimed at adults so questions and answers containing sexual content is perfectly acceptable - it is allowed by the moderator - though if it is explicit then you can report it.

swearing is usually automatically censored

to be honest, your question is more likely to get banned for being chat

i would agree with nox and suggest you each get separate usernames - it is a bit confusing.

No i'm not trying to have a chat with you but at the end of the day you don't need to know that more than one person uses this account, at the end of the day all we do is ask questions. I have since looked at your previous answers to mine and the reason i asked if you were irish is because you seem to have a very short fuse and that reflects the way you give your posts. You remind me of an irish teacher i once had who was very much like that with me so i took a lucky guess.

At the end of the day of course we all need to know whether we are talking to one person or multiple personalities because this is not simply a site where one posts answers, it's a site where sensible debate is engaged in and if I'm talking to you one minute, your daughter the next and Napolean the next then as joko says it gets stupidly confusing. Just get seperate accounts for heaven's sakes like everyone else manages to do, it's not hard is it?
On reflection you know I'm Irish because it was clearly stated in the De-Menezes thread which, since you critisised the way johnlambert and I were discussing things, presumeably you read.So the critising me, short fuse, Irish teacher nonesense and saying lucky guess is a bit odd, unless of course you just critisised john and I for something you didn't even read which to be honest is even odder. It's not ok for some people to chat and others not to, it's absurd, that was my only point to you, and it rankles people to be told off about debating to be honest when this site has done very well in this manner for a very long time.

i'm sorry but i didn't read any of the other posts i simply read one of yours which did not say you were irish and who is john lambert? does he not make cigarettes?i'm sorry if you find offence at what i said but maybe this subject won't end of debating etc. but i found that there were people who agreed with me and this subject has been brought up more than once. Throw your toys out of the pram all you like, anyone foolish enough to critisise debate on a question and answer site really hasn't got the hang of what the place is about anyway.
We all know each other on this site, so I'll answer to my heart's content and certainly don't need your permission, as a question once posted is not the questioner's to terminate just because they don't like what is being said.You've really missed the point big time with your high handedness, sorry but you can't have everything your own way.
