My microsoft account has been hacked. Emails are being sent out and skype messages apparently from me. I have gone into the microsoft site to change my password. I have to wait 30 days before I can change it in which time someone is having a field day with my account. It's utterly ridiculous having to wait so long and there are no contact details to hurry this up. Any ideas what I can do?

Are you sure that you aren't just being spoofed ?
I don't have an MS account that I am aware of so I'm not understanding this 30 day between password changes thing.
Open a new Microsoft account and then email all your contacts detailing the change
It looks like there's nothing you can do about it. See here

All I can suggest is setting up a new email account (with a different service!) and sending out emails to all your contacts to advise them that they should ignore anything they receive from your Hotmail/Outlook address. Give GMX at try:
