If you have a health condition clearly that depends upon what it is, but often life can still be very worthwhile. I do hope that you can find something to make you realise that life can be beautiful even under very difficult conditions, but I appreciate that is somewhat simplistic. However the fact you are talking to us about it is good because it shows you can see a chink of light somewhere. I hope things go well for you xx
Ianess......I know ! I know! However, why not wait until a definitive diagnosis is made and then see how life "pans out" for you.

As Kvali mentioned in he admirable post, it is not a matter of right or wrong, personally i think that it is perfectly normal to ask yourself "do i need this?".
I think in you case although thinking about "the end" it would be better to play for time.

The Silver Line operates the only confidential, free helpline for older people across the UK that’s open 24 hours a day, seven days a week.
The helpline number is: 0800 4 70 80 90.
If you are lonely perhaps this might help?
I am 77 and busy organising outings for residents on the sheltered scheme where I live, so am very fortunate to be able keep myself busy.
I do hope you get help, you're not in a good place at the moment xxx
