Right 45 mins in to the 24 hours and I am already annoyed by this thing - its gone off 3 times and I have a stinking headache!
How am I going to get through the next 23 hours?
Oh and I have to keep a diary of when driving or times when I am not just sitting down.
Off to get some headache tablets!

I don't want to derail Islay's thread - BP testing has always hurt me, whenever and whoever does it. My arms are weedy.

I sympathise, mine drove me mad - once went off 3 times in 2 minutes - they just chuckled when I took it back and told them.

I don't drive thankfully so that wasn't factored in, good luck.

Had one a couple of years back, Cuff inflating every 30 minutes, woke me up every 30 mins overnight, was glad to see the back of it.
Wait until you go to bed!
Why is it annoying you - because its doing the job for which it was fitted ?

Speaking for myself only, it hurts.
Perhaps the cuff was fitted too tight , mamy

Can't shower as it has to be on all the time!
Mamya - BP tests hurt me like hell too - my arm is going to be a mess of bruises tomorrow!!
Anne I am trying to woman up - really I am!
You'll get through.x

I wasn't being serious
I took mine off for a shower. I also fainted during a low sugar reading (I had a virus unbeknown to me) told my mum to take that #@£&ing thing off me which she did and I put it back on before I was due to go off again. Mine was hourly checks though, but I agree it is blooming frustrating and sore!
How's it going now Islay? I was saying in your original thread I've just recently had to wear one, by nightfall it was set to go at hourly intervals but I tell you, i was back at hospital diagnostics dept by the time they opened at 9a.m., my arm was like someone had fun giving Chinese burns all night, I've not had any word back from them yet, just persevere :)

Hey ducksie, went to be early as the headache was killing me! also tried to get as much sleep as possible but was woken up every hour!
I have this on until 4pm tonight - my arm feels like it has been held over a Bunsen burner!
To make matters worse I have to go into the office today and do some casework
Ahhh just seen this, bet you're so happy to have that cuff off Islay ;) bet your bliss today started after 4p.m. :) you'll sleep better tonight - if the thunderstorms don't keep you awake :(

Hi Ducksie, cuff off results given resulting in emergency GP appointment medication and appointments for a load of further tests.
Then it was a really valuable process. Well worth the discomfort and inconvenience.
Question Author
Yes apparently the readings were very concerning Rowan
Sooner they get it better controlled then, take care.
