I have never watched the voice, pop idol, big brother, I'm a celebrity ,, search for an unknown to appear in yet another revival of a musical, but I do watch bake off, portrait and landscape artist and the equivalent pottery programmes. Mainly because they don't set out to humiliate people.
Well, it would be different Chill.

Oh, I dunno. Sounds like it’s a load of old Horlicks, on BGT, the view would be similar to what I have on offer!
I think these programmes are addictive because they convince the viewer that have power to affect the outcome. As people are increasingly disempowered the pull is greater.
Can’t recall a BGT ‘winner’ going on to have a burgeoning career.

Might have more success if he changed his profile and called himself: The Son of Caractacus!
His last album failed to chart in the UK, the one prior reached the dizzying heights of 33.
