I personally like seabass and halibut.

Dover sole is nice too.

do you like monkfish.

I find when I did cook it - that fish sorta never filled you up.
No, not struck on Monkfish

do you like the "allegedly" cod or whiting from the local chippie
>>> do you like the "allegedly" cod or whiting from the local chippie

In two thirds of a century of eating fish and chips I've NEVER encountered a chippy that has had whiting on its menu. Perhaps it's a Northern Ireland thing?

I like most fish (but not the price). Dover sole is lovely but I really enjoy the firmer-textured fish too, such as swordfish. There's also nothing that can beat some really fresh grilled sardines: Gorgeous!

I remember in the olden days LOL - thought Plaice was lovely.

where do you buy your fish Buen
We've got a fishmonger's van that parks up in the Co-op car park, just down the road from me, on Friday mornings but I rarely use it (because it's pricey). Most of the fish I buy comes from supermarkets, with Morrison's being the best of the bunch.

Living in a coastal county though means that I can occasionally buy fish straight off the boat.
I like all fish. I have noticed that hake is all the rage at the moment.
Question Author
Yes fish from the boat is lovely as beautiful fish from Ardglass.
