cannabis consumption?
How many people out there, will admit to having smoked cannabis or marijuana? also, would you offend your peers admitting so. I have just read that the main reason that kids start smoking weed is peer pressure, an avenue drug reformists have not concentrated on. If there are reasons for starting drugs are they the reasons for continuing?
I admit smoking cannabis all my life since i was 14, it has done me no harm at 45, but i know that the influence of my pals had a big part in starting me off, but i choose to do it now, anyway it is better than 9% lager i can say!!!!
And while i am at it, has anyone taken harder drugs or other drugs should i say, and never tried weed? As it does seem the accepted progression to start with a splif and carry on to pills and potions?

I am not like this at all usually! Obviously smashed up the mirror and my fist which I didn't feel until the next day!
I also was freaked out totally by red traffic lights (which I named the king of the handbags! ??)and ran away and hid every time I saw one!! I was truly frightened for my life at the time, amusing now but then it was very real!
Won't ever be taking it again! Didn't enjoy myself!
I didn't have any of the experiences that orange-gnome did (though perhaps I wish I had - King of the Hadnbags eh?).
I was 14 and someone spiked my drink, apparently with E. I hadn't drunk much that night and knew something was seriously wrong. I kepy blacking out and couldn't stop being sick, my stomach wwas empty and I began bringing up this foul biley stuff. A paramedic checked my eyes, which were dilated and rolled to the back of my head by all accounts, and concluded that it was most probably not alcohol related and that my drink had been spiked. It turned out that some kids at the party had pills.
A year or so later my best friend started taking pills regularly and I used to spend most of my time looking after her, and that put me off ever wanting to try them.
hi
I agree with jno and dmsjps that smoking and driving is a real no-no. I never smoke before anything needs to be done ie going to work, seeing to kids, seeing to house etc. Although i do believe people smoking weed and driving would be easy to spot. They're the ones driving on the pavement looking out the side window laughing their heads off - no that bit was a joke.
At the end of the day i think smoking weed is fine if done in your own home and so long as it doesn't affect anyone else around you.
I thank you all for your answers, i hope that some of you have enjoyed being able to be honest, for free!
It does seem that most people have made the decisions generally unaided. strange though that most of the answers were from 30 summats, also no one has claimed to be addicted at the moment, i think the law of averages dictates that some ABer's should be currently addicted. It has just struck me that society has led us to think that addictions are habits that cause damage to one and all. Some drink tea/coffee to excess yet they are not classed as addicts. In general i think drug taking is very subjective but when people collectively suffer from side effects and withdrawl then society has to recognise it as being a problem, of course withdrawl from heroin, benzo's, alcohol etc. is an obvious bad thing, but i tend to believe that addiction is part of our psyche, you could say that steering your life to include old, stable, reliable regular elements such as your friends your music all the things that you would not want to do without is an addiction to a lifestyle. And they could be equally destructive!
As for drug taking, i have taken everything there is on offer except for ecstacy. What is generally not understood is that although heroin etc. is by it's nature dangerous in the short term, debilitating in the long term, it would be madness to say there was no good in it at all. Smack is good at first, but it soon turns bad. Some must think that it is bad from the begining so users must be masochistic, Far from it the gear is a real 5th columnist, very decietful stuff.
It is my view that people will always take drugs, it is the fault of the governments that the crooks have been allowed to organise it, with all the problems that entails.
I cannot see how things will change for the better whilst drug money buys guns and support terrorism.
