Witness For The Prosecution

I went to see this at County Hall, tonight. What a fantastic production in a superb setting. Daughter had an epiphany and has decided she wants to be a barrister.
I highly recommend it, if you like a bit of Aggie Christie.

I hope that you didn't pay full price for your rickets though; there seem to be plenty of cheap ones (often at not much more than a tenner) available online.
If your daughter wants to become a barrister, I urge you to invest three quid in buying a secondhand copy of A P Herbert's 'Misleading Cases'. It's both one of the funniest books ever written and an excellent introduction to the way that the law works (or doesn't work, as the case may be!)

Everyone in the audience seemed to enjoy it, the only downside for me though, is that I knew the story, so the ending didn’t come as a surprise. It was great watching the penny drop with everyone else, though.
I didn’t pay full price. They were bought through work and some kind of theatre offers. We’re going to see Chicago in a couple of weeks and we got those tickets for less than half price. Not that I’m too keen to see it, but my ma will enjoy it.
Thanks for the link the book.

Natasha Tripney has her 'favourites' though Buen, plus reviews for stage work are always really mixed, I had some really glowing ones one night along with this... 'Wouldn't it have been better if they'd killed Lavinia instead of just cutting her tongue out, at least then we could have got rid of that dreadful actress in the 2nd half'. If I had a heart I'd have been hurt lol :/ NOT. It's the audience that counts not the critics.
