I can't imagine he'd be too pleased wiv a washing machine wrapped in a bow....... and he's not into coffee so the coffee machine is out....... i am stumped for ideas this year and i only have a month to think of something, so any ideas would be appreciated.

If you don't take the word appliance, too literally then you could get him a gadget of some kind. Almost all men like gadgets... a PSP could be an appliance and I'm sure he'd be happy with something along those lines.
Are you sure this is a good idea tho? After all, are you going to be happy with a toaster or iron for your anniversary?
Play safe and tell him chocolates, champagne and flowers are anniversary appliances.
Have a lovely anniversary when it comes round.

Moran.
How very sweet and romantic of you both. I have two friends who are exactly the same. When they had their first anniversary they bought paper gifts but wow, what efforts they went to with poetry, calendars with their names in in and lovely photos of their wedding etc.
hmmmm ! appliances !
The Anne Summers was good advice but I like the idea of a PS3 if you can afford it. Something for you both to do. Would a motorised model aircraft or boat class as an appliance, again something you both could have fun with.
Good luck and keep us posted.
