promise a lot, but rarely deliver. My internet connection is slow then slower, it cuts out so often, takes an age to log in, i get messages by e mail from them saying we have cut your call plan, etc. Are they all the same, because i used to be with BT and thought they were rubbish.

If you have a rubbish, old phone line and are a long way from the exchange then they all use the same phone line so you won't get better results from any ISP.

Maybe you want to try a cable company then ?

should be good as in London, fairly central, so not sure why there is this problem.
Too much internet use in central London, When they say up to 20meg it means yes you could get up to that if you was the only one in the whole of London using the internet at that time and you lived next door to the exchange! the more ppl using it and the greater distance away the less you get.
I have Virgin cable and pay for 30Mb.

When I do a speedtest I normally get over that (31 or 32Mb) and it rarely slows down at the evenings or weekends.

So no complaints from me.
The other thing with Virgin cable is that it does NOT get worse the further you are from the exchange (unlike ADSL phone lines)
