Tiny flies in bed

My neighbour has found two tiny black flies/midges in her bed this week. One between sheet and mattress and one on her pillow. She stored them in a jar for me to see - don't know what they are. She found two more this morning in her linen basket. I do know they are not bed bugs (too tiny) and I don't think they are cat fleas either. She doesn't have any pets and appears to be very clean living ? Thanks in anticipation.

Can you post a pcture of them dollie? We could identify them a lot easier that way.
As a pest controler I can be fairly safe in saying that flies do not infest beds, if they are actually flies they are pobably midges that got trapped in the bed, not likely to be fleas as fleas dont have wings and not so likely if there are no pets unless she has just moved in there. by the way cleanliness has nothing to do with a flea infestation in the least, most places I treat for fleas are perfectly clean. best to just check out pics on the net for identification

Drestie - no can't post picture as she let them fly away after we'd looked at them. But thanks for interest anyway.

Ratter - thanks for info - will tell my mate what you have said - glad that they're unlikely to be fleas, midges sounds more feasible. Cheers Dollie x
