Im sick to the Back Teeth of Bosses and people ruling my life.

I really really want to start a small business hopefully from Home.

I have no Savings or Money to put up. I cant borrow from anyone
I cant get a Loan because of Credit History in the past.
I have no idea where to start.

I have looked at Websites and they suggest an Ebay Business as a good idea.

Is anyone running a similar Business?

Would like some tips on getting this off the ground.

Thanx in advance to everyone.

Further to that.

I would be quite happy to only earn 200pw net so i'm not looking for anything fantastic.
unless you have savings or capital behind you no business can get off the ground. if you are under the age of 30 and have a good idea (not just 'i want to be self employed') then contact 'The princes youth business trust' for a business pack. they offer interest free grants to young persons entering business. BUT it needs to be a good idea and something which you can make a go of

ebay business' are all about buying and selling. buying cheap, selling higher. you will still need money to get your goods to sell. Say you make something i.e. t-shirt design, or jewellery etc then theres more profit if you buy the items at budget cost.

think of an idea and try it but certainly dont expect to give up your day job at first. you'll end up with nothing.

You don't need to buy stock to sell on ebay if you can find a good dropshipper.

That's beside the point though. When you are self-employed the reality is you have many, many bosses - your customers or clients.

They will be far more unreasonable than any boss, and if they don't like your attitude you will lose their custom.

Being self-employed means chasing payments as well as custom.

Are you sure you could handle so many people ruling your life?

And don't forget dealing with the taxman, health and safety (if applicable), the council if you are working from home....

It ain't no picnic.

Unfortunatly I'm over 30, 32 in fact.

I can raise a small amount of Money (maybe 400-600)
I only want to start small, I never plan to go big time. I'm Self-Employed at the moment (Taxi Driver) so I know about Tax etc.

Somebody has given me a link of quite an interesting Wholesaler which I would imagine is what I need. I have been advised to buy mainly a pallet at a time for perhaps 400 and stick the items on Ebay. I have experimented already by buying a couple of Camcorders from an Argos Disposal Warehouse and sold both on Ebay making 200 Profit.
If you are going to run a business on eBay or similar, make sure you are fully aware of the Distant Selling Regulations

http://www.oft.gov.uk/Business/Legal/DSR/defau lt.htm

and the Sale of Goods Act

400 is not a lot to gamble in the great scheme of things, so give it a go! Do your homework first though.

Good luck.
Hi, have you ever thought about doing network marketing?
as you will be self employed and wont need to worry about bosses ruling your life and can work in your own time as much or as less as you want, but be cautious which companies you deal with,do your research first.
