Ford Focus Ghia 2001

My focus keeps revving up high (3000) while in a low gear or neutral, its does it of its own accord although more when I have the air con on. I have had it in so many garages and Ford Dealers and paid so much money out but no one can find the problem not even the Ford Diagnostic machine. It is driving me crazy! I love the car but can't stand this constant revving up. Anyone have any ideas??

hi ya, if this is happening whilst your car is just in neutral then it sounds like its your idle air control valve.they can be taken out and cleaned or a replacement is about �100
