Defrosted the freezer yesterday evening. Found stuff I'd forgotten about! So a bit less shopping to do. Serendipity. :o}
We had a lovely day yesterday. I was taken to Clevedon. I'd only seen it from the river before, and the pier when stopping to drop off, or collect, a pilot. We walked along it. It's lovely. There are wee brass plaques along the deck and to sides with names of departed loved ones.
nothing on the oracle for today. I'm sure I'll find something to do.
Morning Minty et al, lovely here again, got to get to a garden centre today to replace the stuff that's finishing . Hoping to find some lettuce and kale ready started and possibly a well grown aubergine. Don't want gaps before judging.
Had long chat with BIL last night, he seems in a good place with it all being about relief and being glad his dad isn't suffering any more. Once everything is sorted they are coming up for a few days.
I won the small to medium domestic garden again this year..with it £50 which I hand back to be donated to the local OAP home trips fund... several years in succession now..neighbour enters me..lol.. have told them not to consider me again and have been invited to be a judge instead..
Our plumber turned up and has done most of the repair work. Unfortunately the CH boiler hasn't fired up so he'll need to come back. The insurance surveyor will be here on Monday to complete a 'schedule of works' whatever that means.
Sown pak choi and rocket, and refilled the carrot box from a pot of seedlings will just need something big to replace the broad beans.
And small things for the wall pots, edible flowers might be better for those..
We're in Court 1. OH is the serious fan - I'm going this time for the 'experience'. Looking forward to it though. I guess it will be a tad on the warm side.
Morning all. I'm up to my eyeballs in stuff already. Got another batch of baby feeds to make and there's a leg of lamb in the oven. I'm using it to make a lamb curry tomorrow night, which will taste even more amazing if England win their match against Sweden :-)
Talking of allotments and gardens, we sat outside last night (such a rarity to do so in this Country) and as I surveyed the amazing garden my OH has created I feel a pang of sorrow knowing that we are giving this up to move somewhere else. Still, it will be fun making our new house the home of our dreams.
