But. Since Dave died I have been hoovering them up in lots of places, I think he strangled a white pigeon on his way out....

What's more unnerving is I haven't seen a single bird come to the feeder since he died. I miss my bluetits,

I find white feathers in the most unusual places..recently on my keyboard when I open up lappie..how on earth can anything get there ?
I find them too! Also in odd places. Found one in the fridge yesterday, it hadn't been there ten minutes previously.

I found three in the bathroom which doesn't have any windows, and a big one on the shelf above a heater in the lounge. Dave really hated pigeons
If you miss your blue tits Rowan, get out of the sun, I'm sure they will change colour.;-/
I have a great variety of wildlife visit me, if I passed, I wonder how many would continue to visit.

It's just one was a regular visitor every morning and evening... I think he might have started moulting. I hope s o. We have a lot of small raptors round here
We've got some lovely, friendly blackbirds nesting in our bushes. I do enjoy putting currants out for them.

I don't believe in the white feather thing either, but I've found them in unexpected places.

The weirdest situation was when I lost a key in the house. I mentally asked my (deceased) mum to help me find it. Suddenly it was there in the middle of the floor where I'd been countless times looking for it. I thanked my mum and thought 'I'm going to find a white feather now too'. Of course, I turned around and there was a white feather on the floor.

er sorry someone is gonna have to tell me what the white feather thing is now

(used to be given to a fella in mufti by a pretty young woman saying 'excuse me...' in the days before conscription 1916. My grandfather was given one in mufti when on leave from the RFA and just about had a fit. - sorry lots of C19 words in that post, which is just about where I live most of the time)
asking dead people to find things ?
yeah do that often
remember to thank them later

Op, White feathers are supposed signs from departed loved ones. Gloria - can't remember her name - has written a book about the phenomenon, detailing white feathers found from her daughter Caran who died from cancer at a young age.
^^That should have started with PP not Op.

For those that only saw the avatars..... my pigeon hating darling
Sounds possible that a raptor has been taking the birds at your feeding station don't you think Rowan? That could be why it's so quiet:-(
Aww he looks lovely, a real character x
Question Author
The feeding station is on a netted balcony so they are safe there but its the journey back to the bushes where the danger lies
What about black feathers?
Question Author
You have crows fighting on the roof....
We don't have birds on the feeders at the moment. I think there is plenty of their natural food about.
