You can tell as you take the cap off if it was a tight seal there will be the pfffffft sound as the co2 escapes and if there is no rust on the inside of the cap it should be fine. Just taste it before swigging, only if it's been badly stored it might taste awful.

Seems ok fizz and froffy head think it’s just metal thing, just didn’t want legionnaires deseise
Why was the beer stored in water and if it’s risky then surely it’s better to buy a beer then take a potentially life threatening risk?

Would do normally. been about 3 months in there and qty 12 surly sealed ok, or hoping so..feel I can’t bin them
Okay kooend but why storage in water or was this a malfunctioning freezer or I’m hoping not a shipwreck.
When the SS Politician sank off the coast of Eriskay in 1941, the islanders salvaged (and drank!) around 24,000 bottles of whisky from the wreck. So drinking booze that's been stored under water seems to be a safe enough thing to do ;-)
Try it. If it tastes ok it's a shame to waste good beer. If it's rubbish then dump it anyway.
Try something which was posted recently here in another context - give it to the cat and see if it survives.
Give it to the nearest bloke then, no point harming a perfectly harmless cat.
Are you dead yet?
Treat it like vegetables and give them a right good scrub with antibacterial detergent.
Oh, and check each bottle for enormous worms. Can't be too safe.
I would drink it.
