My thoughts exactly when I read it earlier. It beggars belief.

Very sad.

I recently read a tragic story about a little boy who passed away 2 weeks after his mother had had a fit and died. He was about 4 or 5 years old and the school only had 1 contact number (the mothers) and didn't get any responses from her when he didn't show up for school. As a result all schools must hold more than one contact number.

I would agree mushroom - sadly there are those on the site who would consider nothing less than an execution to be a suitable response - happily the legal system takes rather more into account than the desire to take more lives after this tragedy.
