They Don't Know What An Avocado Is!

Bit late, as usual. I love avocados - but t.b.h. I'd never seen or heard of one until the 1970's when we bought a house with an avocado bathroom suite. (Avocados were way-out cutting edge in those days.) Find it hard to understand today when they are in every supermarket, but maybe this family never browse the veg. aisles.

Late to this post, but when growing up if my dad didn't grow it in his garden or greenhouse then we didn't eat it. Never had peppers, avocado, aubergines, okra etc etc. Was gradually introduced to these over the years and now eat most of them.

Avacados , are sold by the weight ,take the stone out and weigh it . and that is the part you throw away. RIP OFF,

I grew a 7 foot tall Avo plant once from a discarded stone. It fell over in the wind and smashed a huge window. A båstard fruit.

Love avocado.

I find some peoples diets strange. I eat carbs everyday and I'm not over weight. I don't understand why people advise not to eat them unless for medical reasons.

Ummmm...if I eat carbs like bread, rice, pasta, grains, wheat-anything, I gain, feel bloated, joints ache, feel depressed. My research has told me it's better, healthier for *me*.
