I'm Having an MRI Enterogram on Thursday and am following a low residue diet, would it be permitted to eat cherries if I peeled off the skin do you think?
I do have to follow a low residue diet before the MRI, this allows for abnormalities of the bowel to be found easier (or so the literature says). I have decided to avoid the cherries just to be safe.
I wouldn't; unless they are on your diet sheet, which in my experience featured mainly white food and no veg (fibrous), it's not worth the risk. Your system needs to be as clear as possible so they can see everything and it would be a pity to thwart the results because of a few cherries!
