Sorry Corby, I’ve no idea. I only have stats for Wimbledon.
The figures you want I would have to extract manually. In 2017 the average number of sets per match was 3.55 for the men and 2.35 for the women. Doing a very quick manual count for 2017, 44 of the 127 (34.6%) Ladies’ matches went to three sets whilst 58 of the 127 (45.6%) Men’s matches were completed in three sets.

As I said earlier, the punters do not pay to see the players train, they pay to see them play.

Don’t know. But you don’t see much serve and volley by either sex these days. You can see that by looking at the grass courts. When serve and volley prevailed there was a huge patch of worn grass from the baseline towards the net after just a few days’ play. Today the grass is still green.
