treatment of acne
12 Answers
My son (15 years old) has quite bad skin. He's had acne for about a year. Personally I dont think it looks too bad, as I think most boys of his age get a bit spotty. However he says it bothers him. Can anyone suggest any skin treatments? I went to a spa myself recently and noticed that they have an acne treatment. However this is 37, so I dont want to book him in for it if there is an effective remedy we can use ourselves at home.
Any advice will be appreciated. thanks for your help.

Also, Liz Earle do a mens range Cleanse and Polish ,my cousin uses it as he had a period of having bad skin... (not sure if actually acne but quite a lot of spots)
It really cleared it up. Its about Its 12 (get the one with cloths!) You rub it on and then polish it off with the cloths and hot water....

if he's going to be susceptable to acne then a short, sharp course of oxytetracyclene will do the job very effectively. the doctor can also prescribe antibiotic gel for him to use. from my own,and my sons, experience, none of the stuff you can buy at the chemist will do any good. he may need a course of antibiotics whenever he has a flare up, but they do work and he'll feel so much better when the spots are gone, bad acne can have a devastating affect on a persons life.
there a fairly new device on the market called Zeno which clears acne using a harmless laser - i know the word laser sounds scary, but its not - is a little pocket size device that can treat small areas of acne effieciently.
