Please remember to put a container with water out for the birds it's dry as a bone now.not everywhere has ponds and streams.many wildlife will perish like rabbits as the fields of grass are just like straw nothing succulent for those to get any fluid from.
As well as my birdbath for the birds, I have put out a large bowl of water with a stone in it on the steps for the birds, squirrels, foxes, hedgehogs, and anything else that needs a drink. The countryside dwellers must be desperate so I wouldn't be surprised to see badgers, stoats and weasels etc, coming to suburban gardens where they can have a drink.
Been watching the birds and they were all waiting quite nicely for a turn at the cascade of the pond when along came two pigeons who promptly took over and cleared the other birds off.I know they need food and water like all the others, but I was sorely tempted to teach them some manners courtesy of Mr .410.
Yes, I have two bowls of water out for the birds all year round. I refresh the waters every morning.I wish everyone else did. Its bone dry here so its much needed.
