How Many Kennedys?

On The Chase, if the answer to a US president is “Kennedy” and the contestant answers “Kennedy”, Bradley ALWAYS says “more please” until the contestant says “John Kennedy” or “JFK”.

Why?

Does Bradley think there was more than one President called Kennedy?

He never asks “more please” when the answer is “Washington”!

I've been wondering that too, Bainbrig. It does seem odd. I guess it's because there were other Kennedys in politics, and Brad needs to know the contestant is thinking of the right one.

they might want to check that the contestant wasn't thinking of Bobby or Teddy (or Ethel for that matter). No such alternatives would come to anyone's mind for Washington. But he could more reasonably ask for clarification of Adams, Harrison, Johnson, Roosevelt or Bush.
