You can buy it as a frozen ready meal.

ok maybe but I want to make my own - I take from your answer you can freeze it
A home made cream sauce may split a little after freezing but will do you no harm, commercial meals use a stabiliser to prevent this.

I'm pretty sure it couldn't harm you Jennyjoan but any time I have defrosted something that I have made with cream in it, it never looks too pleasant! It tastes ok but I think the cream maybe splits either from the freezing or the reheating I suppose?
I think it's bit of pot luck. I've frozen things with cream in with no problems. Like Mamy says though it might split.

whipping cream
or double cream

I thought chicken supreme was a cut of chicken - is it not?
It's both RR, clear from the query JJ is discussing the dish.
Many chicken supreme recipes use a tin of cream of chicken or mushroom soup, or a packet white sauce mix instead of actual cream. You could try that, it should freeze well.

ah ha - good for you Eth. Ummmm - recipe calls for double cream. You know if I make it tonight and there is some over - will probably have it tomorrow

Some years ago I went to a restaurant and asked for Chicken Supreme - there were loads of people dining that night. When waiter came out with a dry chicken I couldn't say anything in front of those people.

On going home I said to him - next time send out chicken with fresh cream. He went over to the counter and said - I shoulda brought this out to you - pointing to a jug of cream Needless to say I never went back.
I have not heard of the dish Mamyalynne hence my question.

It's nice, lots of recipes about - I rarely use cream but is one I've made in the past.
I've done the soup trick. All I did was fry some mixed mushrooms and added mushroom soup to them. Served it with steak and was complimented on how lovely it was :-)
You’ve just reminded me of my American cousins chicken thing...wrap halves of chicken breast (or thighs) in a slice of bacon and put in an ovenproof dish. Mix a can of condensed soup with some white wine and pour it over. Sprinkle with grated cheese and bake.
