Is spicy Italian seasoning the same as pizza seasoning? Also what would you say is a good substitute for mozzarella?

Mozzarella is more about texture, imo, because it's very mild tasting, so any mild cheese.

Not sure of the former.

I wouldn't have thought pizza seasoning is spicy normally. You can get "mixed Italian herbs" in most supermarkets.

I simply don't like Mozzarella so wouldn't use it on a pizza. Goats' cheese would be my preferred choice, with some caramelised onions.

no they are different. Pizza seasoning has no spice content, ie no heat. To sub for mozzarella you need something that will string as it melts....emmenthal might be good or a cheapish cheddar

I really like Mozzarella. Love it in salads with avocado.

Use the spicy seasoning as a rub on pork steaks, or sprinkle in a stir-fry

Not really. I bought a Tefal cook4me one pot cooker a few weeks ago and I'm trying different recipes. There is one called One pot pasta pizza style. Since all the other recipes I've done have been very good I thought I'd give this one a go. But as I'm not a fan of Mozzarella (and I'm not alone there) I was looking for a substitute.

Yes, you can get it in the supermarkets. It's very mild tasting but doesn't melt like Mozzarella. It's used a lot in Indian cooking. It takes on the flavour of the sauce it's cooked in.

I love paneer. It's Indian cottage cheese. I had some in my curry at the weekend.

Paneer is not as soft as Mozzarella.You can get it at Tesco.

Halloumi might also work. Another cheese that's mild and not melty.
