The series focussed on a group of young people fresh from school, who had enrolled onto Government Youth Training Schemes and then found themselves out of work. The series - with the lead characters cast from the extensive pool of Merseyside acting talent - followed on from Phil Redmond's controversial drama series Going Out which was produced by Southern Television in 1981.'

It aired in April 1986 according to this link:
I adored this programme and had it on tape for ages and ages went to play it once and it was all warped and horrible, wish I;d kept it anyway cos it was part of my growing up. Vic McGuire was Ray, his mate was Derek. Their girlfriends were Jules and Har (Harriet) also had a made called Gosgo Gosling but he died :-( Remember a classic line from Hat to a jealous Ray "I'm not going to spend the rest of my life talking to women, poofs and priests". Pure genius, should be repeated.
Do you remember the music? OOOh what now, what now?
God, let's reminise some more!
