Contact Centre
My son's wife is on bail for assault and neglect of their 2 children. She has to see the children at a contact centre which costs money. He has paid for two weeks. Is it unreasonable for him to ask her to pay for visits now as he is on benefits due to having to give up his job to look after children

But if she has no income either as she gave up work to look after the kids while he was working, and if he now gets the child benefit, maybe he should be prepared to pay if she can't. But it also depends on whethe rthe kids want tos ee their mum. If they don't then if i was in his position I think I'd tell her to pay for the visits

Bednobs' suggestion of seeking an alternative contact centre might be worth investigating. The website of the National Association of Child Contact Centres says the following:
"Will I have to pay to use a child contact centre?
Whilst some centres and services do charge for attendance, others provide their service free of charge. Contact your specific service for their costs. Most supported centres are free or low cost"
