dinner with your parents, the concept of fright or flite comes to mind but it will save months wasted on the guy if he is a waste of time.
maybe a local music gig in the evening? Or you could go for a picnic or something seeing as the weather is so nice and it's light in the evenings.
Ten pin bowling ? Or what about Ice skating ? He can always pick you up if you fall. Perfect excuse for a cuddle !
have you picked up from your conversations with him what sort of thing he particularly likes doing? I mean, he might suggest an evening at Crewe Junction trainspotting or something.
jno come on now, just cos that worked for you eh?

Ok, if I'm honest, it's not my date, it's for a friend. I just couldn't be bothered to explain all the ins and outs of it so I wouldn't know what he likes jno!

Thanks guys, any more suggestions will be greatly welcomed by my friend!
the sun is shinning.. what about a nice stroll along the beach... chance to chat, sit and listen to the sea etc, could be romantic!!!

I hope they dont live in Central London!!!!!
well, your friend might know - has she been paying attention while he talks or just gazing into his eyes? Anyway, Neenee's got something - in good weather, just a nice walk through a park (with refreshments) could be good for kindling romance.
Stay in!!!
If it's a daytime week-end date, how about a visit to one of your nearest National Trust stately homes and a picnic, or lunch at a country pub.
Or your nearest zoo, or wildlife centre?
For some kulcha you could try theatre (musical, play, ballet, opera), museums, art galleries etc, sometimes even when you are not into these things you can have a good laugh at the pretentiousnes of some artwork. If the are in London, then a stroll down the South Bank can be quite romantic on a sunny afternoon, or even through the piazza's of Covent Garden & Leicester Sq, followed by a drink and a nice meal somewhere in Soho.
Ishould hope by the third date he'd be man enough to try a bit of whoops a daisy cus they did when iwas a kid or you would be considered a right wally
outside tops and that bloaterbum?
