best free way to promote a website

Keywords in the head are pretty useless nowadays, but if you can fit them in as the FIRST text in the body, you stand a good chance of being picked up by the Google. These keywords should ofcourse be as small as possible and the same colour as the background colour so they don't show up in in the browser.

Visit the site from as many different computers as possible using some of your keywords.

If this is a non-commercial site you may find others with kindred interest that have a link page so swap links. Some even have a facility to post your own link on their site.

Hi,
Sorry about the brief question.I hit the wrong button.We are a sports and social club and like most others,struggling a bit.We're trying to let people know that the hall is for hire for functions,parties,funerals,anniversaries etc and also dancing to live bands at weekends.
Could you give me an example of what you mean Wildwood as I'm not all that savvy.

I can't completely say about a website but yes if people have been made aware with the one's services through websites then there are a lot of ways. The company with whom I have been working (graphic designing company), prefer to distribute custom pins to promote their services in a better and effective way.
