I Can't Get Rid Of......

an advert which has appeared last few days, lower right hand corner of screen, which prevents me using my up/down arrow option and obscures some info unless I move page upwards all the time. It has a picture of fruit/ veg and states "I can remind you to get groceries every Sunday". It the gives two options; "remind me" and "dismiss"...I have tried both to no avail...there is no X to remove the ad. I am very much an ignorant about these things but would very much a solution to removing it!...There's no company name ascribed to this irritant...any SIMPLE ways of getting rid?

Sorry, Spath......click the windows button and do what?.....As I said, Complete thicko here as far as things like this!

Go into settings and disable Cortana.

1. Hit the Windows Key
2. Select ' Settings'
3. Type 'Cortana' in search box
4. Make sure all setting activating that annoying thing are off.
5. Restart your computer.

Not at all sure that will help but it will at least dispose of Cortana for you if indeed it's a Cortana window you are seeing. x

Check for malware infection while you're trying the other suggestions.
