My Dog Is Behaving Oddly

He was fine until Monday. I was out all day - he was left behind with O/H (and O/H did NOT beat him or treat him badly!) - and when I got back he was weird and trembling. Also had a warm nose. Apparently he howled a bit while I was away. Trembling has mostly stopped, but nose still warm, and he has lost his appetite. Not even interested in his favourite (tuna fish brine!). Just as energetic as usual, but either clinging to me or hiding elsewhere in house. A full house (6 of us) and normally just the 2.
Any thoughts?

Is my mother staying with you? She has this effect!
It does sound like stress but could also be a bug. I’d take the poor soul to the vet tomorrow....you can also get advice there about helping you dog cope with a full house if he doesn’t like it.
A ghost?
He may be physically ill - a warm nose is a good indicator, or he may be unhappy with the additional bodies in his space.

A visit to the vet is in order.
Could you spend some quiet time alone with him ?

Nice one DTC!
Will go to vet, but wanted some idea. He normally enjoys company - we were 8 of Christmas and he thoroughly enjoyed himself (lots of chances of food scraps!). Nose fine this morning (as it was yesterday am) but he's still hiding.
How old is he Goofy ?
How are things now ?

Sorry - first time I've had a chance to get on to my computer for ages. Far too busy with all these visitors.
I think it was the visitors that upset him. Last lot left on Wednesday and he's back to normal. It's surprising though that he was worried. He's 3 now, and we have an influx twice a year. He did have a temperature, and the vet gave us some medicine but it didn't have much effect.
But back to normal - hooray!
