I have an odd icon at the top of my phone which is a phone and a wi fi symbol next to it . It appeared last night and my battery is running down at an alarming rate . Does any body know what this is and how can I get rid of it. Thanks in advance

If you go to settings- device maintenance- battery, it will show you which apps are draining your battery, so you can put them to sleep.

It appears to be NFC settings, which you can switch off in Connectivity.

Apparently it is a new symbol telling me phone is enabled to allow me to make phone calls with wi fi when the phone signal is poor . So maybe the phone is always searching for a signal and using battery .Perhaps when I get home from my break I'll be back to normal .but thanks for taking the time to reply

You're welcome. I hope it goes back to normal- there should be some way of turning it off if you don't want it on for now.
