It must be difficult for you to lose weight whilst managing your diabetes. Good luck to you.
I am sure she has, but sometimes a risk for the longer term gets missed with a more significant health problem in the here and now.
The men probably find it easier because their fat deposits are not a sex linked characteristic in the same way as for women.
On a serious note... exactly why do you need to lose so much weight, and why a specific BMI anyway? Can't have been that important if they accepted a change from 17 to 19 already...

I have no experience to tell me if that video is close to accurate at all. I really, really hope not.

Essentially cameras do make you look fat, at last there are fat angles I should say. Women have less defined jaws than men so if you shoot even a perfectly normal none fat women from a low angle they'll have a double chin, I can see why they do it because there is a broader range of aesthetic angles you can use with a thin actress if she's supposed to be 'attractive' in project. 'Attractive' equating 'thin'. Perfectly normal people are considered fat in industry terms with a size UK 12 being considered large and it's far worse in the US. They wanted me at a specific weight and my partner and agent negotiated that up for me, I gravely doubt I will make that weight anyway so it's probably all for nothing, but I'm giving it a go.
The video is a parody of the worst type of casting directors, most are absolutely lovely, genuinely nice people, but a few are vile, and worse than that by a country mile. x
