Hi i have a freeview set top box made by thomsonmodel dti 2300 apparrantly very popular so im helping you can help.

Apparrantly on this if i go into menu and sort out the order of the stations when i click save my stations should be in the order i save them in... makes sense right? wrong whe i click save and exit i go through the channels and they are not in any order at all!!

Help its driving me mad and i cant find any info anywhere!

As far as I am aware you cannot change the order of the channels as each channel will have been assigned (nationally) it's own channel number, and a digital setbox will organise the channels numerically, automatically.

You can perhaps use the 'favourites' feature and select the channels that you want to be able to view as you flick through, and not select the channels that you don't, but even then, the channels will be ordered numerically.

Another option is to delete the individual channels that you don't want, but again, the ones left will be ordered numerically. This is how I understand it anyway.

You can change te order, they will still for example say bbc1 as 1 but you can move it up and down the list and put it where you want a foreign student sorted it all out last time for me (hence how I know you can do this). Having lost touch with this old house mate i have no idea how to sort it again... ive tried all sorts.
