One of the best things I've ever bought, and which has certainly helped me get rid of hand and wrist pain associated with using a conventional mouse, is a simple mouse mat with a wrist rest built into it. So, if you're not already using something similar, you might like to try one. (They're not expensive. Here's the one I use: https://groceries.asda.com/product/laptop-pc-accessories/polaroid-mouse-mat-memory-foam-pad-black/910000983939 )
I have set my mouse so that every move is done with a single click.
Also, I have a mouse mat which is similar to that recommended by Chris.
However, they don't stop the pain I get in my right shoulder when on Answerbank. .....Strange , the pain goes within 5minutes of my leaving the site.
