Ginger!......So where is it????

Does anyone remember, a few years ago there was this rumour put out about an amazing new invention or similiar and it was called or had something to do with the word Ginger. People were speculating if it had anything to do with Chris Evans, some people said it was a new form of travel. WHAT happened to it......nothing ever came of it!!!! I would have forgotten about it except for a few months ago, whilst watching LivingTV on Sky there was this logo in the top left hand corner saying 5 days till UKGinger, then 4 days etc. But NOTHING happened......Does anyone else remember this, and can anyone else shed any light on it.
