I am doing up my old bike, I have stripped it down to the frame. I am going to sand off the old paint, touch up any rusty areas, and then respray.

1)Is it ok to use spary that is used on cars, or should i be using something else? Do I need to prime first?

2)I also want to replace the front fork, with a suspension fork. Is this ok to do? Will a suspension fork fit?

Thanks

1) Yes, car spray paint is ideal, and is what many bike manufacturers use. And yes, prime first with a car zinc primer.
2) I might be wrong, so I'll simply suggest visiting a local bike shop.
Yes car spray paint is ideal but make sure you clean any rust first and use plenty of primer.
most types of auto paint are perfect. use a good primer and flat it back before paint is applied.....

front suspension shouldnt be a problem. the only problem you could have is getting the part of the fork that goes through the frame, cut to the exact length..
that is best left to a trained cycle repairer.
